I have a home based piano studio in Suffolk, VA where I teach private piano lessons to students of all ages. I have taught piano lessons in this area for thirty three years.  I earned my Bachelors of Science in Piano Performance from Old Dominion University. I am a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music in Piano through the Virginia Music Teachers Association and the Music Teachers National Association. I have also taught at music schools in Portsmouth, Chesapeake, and Virginia Beach.

 

I am very active in the Tidewater Music Teachers Forum and the Virginia Music Teachers Association.  I hold various positions in each of these organizations.  I am also a member of the National Guild of Piano Teachers.  These organizations allow me to provide many performing opportunities for my students.

I am dedicated to maintaining my piano expertise and education by attending as many local, state and national conferences and workshops as possible. I feel that this helps keep me "up to date" and provide the best musical education for my students as well as expanding my  musical knowledge.
